This is something you should really try. I've honestly tried EVERYTHING else. I'm not kidding. I've tried the creams... (Every brand under the sun); I've tried the cleansers... I've tried the scrubs... I've tried the home remedies... I've tried the pills... everything. And I think that might have been the problem all along. It was too much! I broke out.. and I FREAKED out. I went overboard. And I wonder how many other people have done the same thing. I've got really dry skin. I mean REALLLLLLY dry. It's always been that way. I used to use really thick lotion on my face. It was more like a body cream. Thick. And my face rarely broke out. But then I heard how "bad" it was for me to use that on my skin. How my face couldn't "breathe". So, I stopped. And I started using the "nice" stuff. And the one zit I had turned into four. Those four turned into eight. Eight became twelve. And one day, I couldn't remember what it felt like to have "good skin". The more my face broke out, the more crap I bought to try and fix it. The more crap I put on it, the worse it got. I was waking up every morning to find at least one new pimple. One day I had enough. I stopped denying myself foods that I enjoyed. I stopped using the $60.00 bottle of moisturizer. I went to the grocery store and I purchased a small box of aloe baby wipes. That night, instead of washing my face with that expensive cleanser, I used the baby wipes. Then I put a thin layer of moisturizer on, and I went to bed. The next morning, I didn't wake up with new zits. And it slowly got better. The ones I had have faded away. And I'm back to my old self. I've got one or two very small zits. One or two... that's manageable. That's okay. I can live with one or two. If I can save one person from spending the money that I've spent... then it's worth it. My advice, don't believe the hype you see on TV. Don't believe the junk you read. Try something simple. Don't over-load your skin. Sometimes less truly is more. |

Literally done exactly what you said you used to do. More spots more products, my biggest downfall was as soon as I had pretty clear skin I would go even more insane to try and prevent anything having any chance of coming back. I've looked at the 'caveman' regimen and that's too extreme, I need some sort or cleanser. What I do now is exfoliate twice a week, wash my face normally in the shower with a normal, none acne targeted soap and that's it. Now (when it's nearly at its worst) I've starter covering it with make up and just now resorted to a aloe baby wipe and some oil control moisturiser before i go to bed to remove it. I prey it works and you've given me inspiration. Glad it's helped you, there's nothing more upsetting than having terrible skin when you should be looking the best you'll ever look at 19. Thanks again |
