Q: I would like to give you some information concerning treatment of
Sjogren’s syndrome. I had dry mouth for over 10 years but never received any treatment. However, about five years ago, when I went to an ENT doctor for sinus problems, I mentioned that I had a dry mouth. The doctor gave me a sample of Evoxac, 30 milligrams, and also prescribed the medicine. I take one only at bedtime. Some nights my mouth gets very watery; the dry mouth is gone. I hope the person who wrote to you will ask his doctor and get Evoxac. A: Many patients with dry mouth have written to me in hopes that I may have a solution to this annoying problem. Until now, I haven’t had a solution, so I am publishing your letter as a service to those patients in need of treatment. |
